Paulus and I would be very happy to invite you to spend the night (or several nights) at our
home. Our new guest room/therapy room is almost complete (we still need to put fresh paint on the ceiling, and hang the door...) but it is already quite usable. However, guests who stay in this room need to come to the main house to take a shower because the guest house currently only has a toilet (and a kitchen and larger classroom area....)
For patients who are interested in the "Bed and Breakfast and Treatment" option, it is also possible to use the smaller guest room in our main house in comination with Shiatsu and/or Energy treatments. For 150 Euro, you receive two treatments, lodging, and an organic breakfast. The treatments can be arranged in various ways, such as one Shiatsu treatment and one Energy treatment each for 1 hour, or one treatment of 2 hours, or 2 treatments side-by-side for two people. For additional people, we charge an extra 10 Euro per person to cover the extra costs for breakfast.
Averbode is a lovely place to visit. There are nature preserves and trails in every direction plus a picturesque 12th century abbey. We have plenty of parking space, plus lots of room to pitch a tent. Professional cyclists come here from around the world to train for races. If you are a serious (or amateur!) cyclist and sometimes feel that you could use a sports massage after your training, why not try an overnight package with us? Shiatsu is very good for relaxing tired muscles, and you can also use our hottub.
We
also have extra bicycles that guests can borrow.
Paulus and I are focused on healthy living, so if you stay with us
you will get a 100% organic breakfast. Other meals are also possible,
and we can cater to special diets (vegetarian, vegan, macrobiotic, no-sugar,
no-dairy, etc.) We don't smoke and we ask that you also not smoke indoors
or in the garden.
We speak English and Dutch fluently, plus Paulus speaks decent German,
and I used to know French. (I've studied a little Chinese as well, and
have been to China several times. Visitors from China, Japan and other
parts of Asia are very welcome, and I think they would feel quite at
home with us.)
