If you are completely new to Inner Fire Works, or if you heard about
us through a friend, we hope that this site will help answer your questions
about who we are and what we offer.
Treatments are available during the evenings and on weekends. Paulus
is also available every day in the daytime (* see below) and Emily is
available all day on Thursdays.
Because we are members of the NVST (Nederlandse
Vereniging van Soma Therapeuten), most of our clients can get reimbursements
from their insurance companies. It is necessary to have an "aanvullend
pakket" but you don't need a referral from your huisarts.
People who have visited us before will notice that our prices have
gone up! We hope this doesn't discourage you from coming again. We have
a special offer for our current clients: if you refer a new client to
us and he or she comes for a treatment before January 1, 2008, then
you will receive a "bon" for the same treatment at half price.
By the way, we are now asking that everyone please pay at the end of
their treatment. This will reduce the amount of time we need to spend
on administration.
There's nothing new on the house concert agenda at the moment, but you
can read about what we've done in the past here.
We have a few instruments from Eagle Research
to sell, if anyone is interested.
And finally, we'd like to promote our "Bed
and Breakfast and Behandeling" option for travelers who are
looking for something special.
* An update on our other activities! Paulus has been on an unpaid leave
from his regular job, but he has now decided not to return in January.
He is looking for other part time work, and in the meantime doing odd-jobs
for family and friends. (need a handyman?) This means that he is available
to give treatments almost any time, as long as he hasn't scheduled a
particular job.
Our plans for creating a hospice/healing center in the future have
also evolved. After looking at several hospices and hearing how they
are organized, we have decided that we don't want to go that direction.
The system as it exists now is completely charity-based, and if we joined
that system, we would have no time to give treatments and attention
to our guests -- all of our time would be used to find sponsors and
donations and to coordinate volunteers! That is not interesting to us.
So... we are still open to having a center where guests could choose
to spend their last days.... but the focus will be on the treatments
and the attention, and guests will have to pay more than 10 Euro per
day for it. Our current goal, then, is to find other professional therapists
who would like to join us in creating this kind of healing centrum:
one that supports and sustains itself and can focus and reflect on its
own identity without being dependent on charity. That approach is healthier
for us and also for our guests, we believe!
